It’s that time of year again; Halloween is upon us and we canny bloody wait! Struggling to find halloweeny activities, events and parties to attend this week in Newcastle? Well don’t worry lads and lasses we got you covered. Ney Botha!

All week Newcastle's Centurion Bar will be celebrating Halloween with a weeklong horror movie marathon. Amazing! They’ll not only be playing one movie BUT two a night. So if you fancy being creeped out with a double whammy of cheep thrills then get down there. The week long scarefest started on Monday 28th and ends Monday 31st. Not only are they playing only the best horror films, on Friday, October 28 and Saturday and October 29 you’ll be able to get right into the Halloween spirit by dressing up and getting involved in some apple bobbing with small prizes to be won. Rumour has it they’ve created a very special Halloween tipple drinks to get you blood thirty!

Guilty Pleasures club night is coming to Newcastle for massive Halloween party! On Saturday 29th October, Halloween won’t just be about the horror, although the music played may be described as frightening. Guilty Pleasures is coming to celebrate all things cheese this Halloween. So for those who love your pop music it will be right up your street, but for those who’s don’t I guess this is a terrifying treat! The hugely popular UK club night is coming to Tyneside for the first time to the Boiler Shop in the Stephenson Quarter. Halloween fancy dress is encouraged with a competition prize of £100 for the best outfit on the night.

Tickets are £15 in advance, and are available from the Guilty Pleasures website.

3. Discovery Museum

One for the kids this Halloween, at the Discovery Museum, Newcastle hosts it's annual night of spooky fun on Friday, October 28. Where you’ll have the chance to make creepy crafts, explore freaky feeling boxes, and have a go at Trick or Treat target toss and ghost stories and tails will be told fro those who are brace enough. Visitors are encouraged to put on their best Halloween fancy dress and enjoy the Devilish Disco in the Great Hall.

Cost: Tickets cost £5 per child plus £1 per accompanying adult and should be booked in advance. This is especially suitable for under 7s, but all children under 12 are welcome. Find out more at www.discoverymuseum.org.uk

4. Zombie Experience at Team Valley

For an ultimate Halloween experience that gets you hands on is the Zombie Experience at Team Valley, arriving just in time for Halloween at No Limits paintball & laser. The new attraction is in Gateshead and is believed to be the only zombie-themed indoor game outside of London. Why ay man! Zombies and Halloween go hand in hand so we suggest booking it ASAP! £80 pounds per person for a three hour session, proper worth it though! Book here.

5. Centre for Life

Newcastle's Centre for Life to host adults-only Halloween Friday Night Life event. That’s right, the Centre for Life is opening up after dark on Friday night October 28th; so adult visitors can take the chance to scare themselves silly with a range of spooky activities. The event is offering an experience different to the norm, those who are feeling brave can face their fears and meet a host of creepy critters with menagerie man Jay Gunn, including snakes, scorpions and tarantulas.  Of course fancy dress isn’t compulsory but very much encouraged, c’mon you’ll just look daft not dressed up! running from 7.00pm-10.30pm, tickets are available from www.life.org.uk or on the door!
